I don't have a beef with either discussion, I just have a problem with the attitude that a new uniform will somehow make us more compelling or that a new conference will automatically propel us into the ranks of the elite. Only winning will make our uniforms fashionable and a place of status can be earned only one way: By beating the big boys head-to-head in huge games.

I'm excited about the new uniform and the new conference, but I'm keeping it all in perspective. GameCok nails it when he says Mizzou's defined more by what we haven't done than what we have done. I hate that as much as any Mizzou fan - yet there's no denying it.

And we think the nubs are delusional...
