LOL...I was an underclassman at KU then. I do remember a brawl between KU and MU players under the north goal at AFH that year.

One of my fraternity brothers was a KU student but MU hoops fan (strange but true). In pickup games he always "played Willie Smith"....grabbing rebounds and crouching into a crablike position with elbows extended to protect the ball. He eventually was the best man at my wedding.

As I have expressed before, I liked the rivalry as it was then much better than what it has become today. My final TB post (tonight) will reflect on what a rivalry truly is as both of our schools are now searching....
