Did you know that upon being one of the initial forming members of the Mo Valley back in 1907, MU was involved of the second college conference in history? The Western Conference (now B1G) was the only one that predates that.

And did you further know that upon formation it was unnamed, and one of the initial suggestions for what it would be called was MoNKI... for the states represented by the member schools of Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas, and Iowa. And that for the first year Iowa was a member of both what became the Mo Valley as well as what became the B1G.
