We have had mixed and confusing branding for a long time. If you're a hard-core fan, it's no big deal, but nationally it's confusing. He's simplifying it and making it consistent.

It's "Mizzou". Not Missouri, not Mizzou-Rah, not a big block "M". "Mizzou" is the textual brand.

The graphical brand is the new power Tiger logo that's we've had for a while. Not a big paw, not Truman, not some other Tiger head. There is one and only tiger logo.

Of course it's going to irritate old-school fans, but it is the right thing to do and at the right time.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
