Otherwise we would have still finished 1 game behind ku in the regular season race...and I don't think the Big 12 gets a #1 seed this year given to a team that didn't win its regular season.

However, if we won that game we 'lost' in Lawrence it would have been very hard to make an arguement against MU as a #1 seed (as I said, I think we are almost certainly ranked #1 nationally in the final polls).
