that could really help our football recruiting regionally there again. The only thing right now that Baylor, Tech and even in my opinion TCU have to offer over Mizzou is their league affiliation with Texas and each other, having them all on each others's scheds and more chances to play in front of mommy and daddy for TX recruits while still being in a premiere conference. If you split it to where now, say, UT is the lone Texas school in the PAC and A&M is the lone Texas school in the SEC....do the leftover Chase Daniel/Sean Weatherspoon type Texas kids really want to play in with the leftover Texas teams like Tech and Baylor in whatever leftover Big East/Big 12/Mountain West thing is still there? Suddenly Mizzou's SEC pitch to those kids looks a lot better even if we are stuck in the SEC East.
In basketball, it's probably more of a moot point. kansas recruits nationally and Texas gets good Texas players, and Baylor will continue to cheat or do whatever it is Drew does to get his. Not much would change if ku and Baylor went Big East, it would probably help them actually in some ways in hoops.
