big motivator in that game. MU lost to NU 62-0 the year before. Those old bleacher seats in the south endzone were on their "last legs" in those days. They were the same bleachers that were used on the west side of old Brewer Field House. Each Spring, after basketball season, they were disassembled, carted over to the stadium and stored under the grandstands until mid-August when they were erected just outside the south endzone.
