There's a reason why not everyone is an engineer, computer programmer, or mathematician.
It's hard.
And most people have a deadly combination of laziness, and stupidity, preventing them from doing
complex math.
With is precisely why those fields pay higher than average, because the average chump is too stupid to do them. Which, means due to the limited number of people they pay more.
In fact, a good programmer is far more productive than an average one, driving up their compensation even higher. Also true in engineering.
Your last statement is exactly correct. If they have the ability (which most don't), and they have the desire (again, most don't).
The irony in your post is that you agree with me, only difference is your naive belief that there are barriers to entry in these fields.
Um, nope. If you know math, race, sexuality, nationality just don't matter to a company.
The only barrier is that people, by nature are lazy.
And, our society rewards it.
