Because of that, they filled in that area and made a grass covered berm. Also, there is no way to "lower" the field, because there is limestone bedrock beneath the current floor of the stadium. Not sure if adding 30K seats right now makes sense, because we rarely sell out. Maybe that will change with the move to the SEC.
