The main point was originally that there are too many tenured teachers who get away with murder. I'll state this again. IL has fired under 20 teachers in the WHOLE state since the 70's. School districts waste tons of money and ask us tax payers to give them more. It's a typical government agency which could be ran much much better.
One in 57 doctors lose their license and 1 out of 97 attorneys. It's 1 out of over 2500 teachers. Don't tell me the process is the same as any other profession, the numbers do not support it.
