of Texas. Whether you like it or not, the new metric for football TV revenue is eyeballs in the state they can sell the network to. The Big12 has lost a huge number of its viewers, and is replacing them with West Virginia and a school with a minor Texas following.
The next go 'round with TV contracts is going to be jarring to Big12 members. Oh sure, you'll get a little more, but you will be dwarfed by other conferences' new revenue streams.
Oh, and just remember, Texas doesn't care, because they've already locked in a competitive advantage of an extra 15 million a year with zero risk or extra expense, and they weren't hurting before either.
