Basically:

1. US DOJ seized FTP assets, including software and a ton of money.

2. US DOJ agreed to sell the software assets to a french group for ~$80mil, french group agrees to make all non-US players worldwide whole. They'll obviously reopen the site for non-US players.

3. US DOJ will repay US players with the $80m + money seized from FTP. They will also pocket the excess, which is significant. This process will probably take ages.


Everything else Killer posted is true about how horribly the FTP execs ran their company.
