it's a niche market. Certainly there are trustees that are more reputable than Bank of America or Citibank that engage in this service.

I would NEVER take an IRA to a bank - I would never go to a bank for investing funds. I'd be far more likely to utilize a custodian for investment property (RE) than I would be to go to bank to handle an IRA for me.
