for himself at the end of the clock on a bad team. It is great he was finally able to take better shots on a decent team and showcase his talent.

Mitchell is a very good player but his 3 point shooting percentage being poor isn't because he was on a crappy team.
He might improve slightly year over year. But he doesn't need to be shooting 3s. Maybe one a game to keep the defense honest and give him space to move. If he shoots 27.5 % they will let him shoot and back off.

If Gates was a good coach he would have him lay off the 3s and let him play the skill set he has elite abilities for
But I am sure Duke told him not to shoot and he is coming here because Gates said he will let him take as many as he wants.
